It is the technical accuracy and strength of photography as a documentary device that motivates me to use a camera. Composition, natural looking colours and tones are what speak to me.

Most of my work has been of suburban Melbourne, Australia. The story of our communities and culture are baked into our surroundings, and at night the hard light of the streetlamp brings that out for me. I feel there is a story here that is overlooked and it inspires me to use a camera.

While I had a basement darkroom back in high school, and I started out doing long exposure night photography on film, I use digital cameras these days

My father, a professional photographer, fostered my love for photography, which started by playing with light sensitive photo paper and darkroom equipment as a toddler.
